Looks Like everyone is amused with the news that Telecommunications Regulatory Authority of India (Trai) is planning to make per second billing option mandatory. JS Sarma, Chairman, Trai said, “We are looking at the possibility of making service providers offer to consumers per second pulse as a mandatory option to be provided. Hopefully, in a month or a month-and-a-half we might like to come out with a consultation paper.”

On outside it looks cool plan with 1 paise per second that is 10 seconds you call you pay 10 paise. 30 seconds you call you pay 30 paise ….

But the fact is most of us enjoy 30 paise per call.. (i got that plan) and the Mobile service provider actually gives me 1750 calls free (1 call billed at 1 minute)

Now if it is going to be 1 paise per second it will turn out to be 60 paise per minute for me. and i dont know how they will calculate the 1750 free calls i have every month.

And i see a very good chance of the charge hike in near future. when the LifeLong prepaids were started they promised we can keep the sim alive at a recharge of Rs 10 every 6 months .. and now the rate is Rs 200 every 6 months to keep you LifeLong Prepaid sim alive … that is a hike of 2000% just in a span of 2 years…

Even a slight hike in per second billing ie f they make it 2 paise per second that will just make the cost of calling double than what is existing now. means you lose your money more than what you may spend for a per minute plan…

I don’t make a phone call just for a 20 seconds. most of the calls range more than 30 seconds…,very rarely i stop a call within 20 seconds. …. and i have observed the same for 99% of my friends..

Friends there is a hidden ghost behind the Per second Billing. please don’t accept it

In My Previous Post i tried to explain what it was actually about the Shashi Tharoor tweet controversy . I believe It was actually a joke which some jobless English illiterate Indian Press journalist used to defend his/her job in her company.

Cattle Class might be a new term for most of us but not with the westerners . it is actually a term used to denote the economy class. ( check this out ) and it is used against airlines operators as a criticism for the lack of facilities in the economy class. But here the Press people seems to have drawn it out of proportion . The Press framed it in a way like Tharoor referred Sonia Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi as Cows and the common men as Cattle. I don’t know why the Medias companies are employing such illiterate people.

No One had any issues when the term Garib Radh was coined, and as Mr Jug Suraiya said Snail Mail is a Classic example of a similar term and also as he continues Fat Rats was a term that mentions the Business class.

But More than the Press , some of the Congress Men and Women seems to have taken the issue as a chance to defame Mr Tharoor. Jayanthi Natarajan who was the first to comment on the issue later tried to escape from it by saying her comment was made because of the way the journalists framed the question she answered it that way. Then it was Congress MP Shanavas who was giving out ridiculous and idiotic comments which i had mentioned in my previous post.

Then came the foolish adamant comments by Tom Vadakkan. The Only thing i want to tell to Mr Tom Vadakkan is “Go and consult with a good psychologist.. You need a Good counseling and Treatment.. it is not the tweeters who need counseling but it is you  ”

It is really Good to See The Prime Minister ManMohan Singh has laughed at the controversy saying it is a good joke . We do have some Sense at the Top.

Yesterday night saw the Kochi’s Tribute to The Late King Of POP Michael Jackson. It was an Awesome event organised by the pop lovers of kochi. The venue was the Gokulam convention center at kaloor. A generation which got inspiratin from the king of pop came together on yesterday night to celebrate their love to their legend. Bands in and around Kochi celebrities etc all gathered together to exress their love to their favourite entertainer. starting from DJ savio, kalinga , whitesugar and members of mother jane and lot more people were present for the event. Ranjini Haridas, Former Miss Kerala, took the host role. Famous playback singer Ranjini Jose was also present. Everyone lit the candles prayed for the Legend. The famous “Dangerous” was performed by an artist in the Michael Jackson costumes. It was followed by many MJ Hits. The videos and photo slideshows featuring the life story of the Great entertainer was shown in between. Lot of Men and women. Some great fans of MJ who attended the Mumbai stage show of the Legend in 1996 shared the experience with me. Definitly it is a great loss for a generation which learned the pop and the dance from the greatest entertainer. i found a lot of my friends at the event some of them were Binny, Sidharth , jesvin, fayaz, jaleel , vineeth (drummer of band slingshot)

Today I was having Dinner and mean while a call came in. It was for My brother. I didn’t gave much importance for that in the beginning.. soon I saw my Brother moving up the stairs to collect some paper.. and he was back to the telephone very soon. He again went up in a flash and was back again. I seemed like he as explaining or clarifying something for the person at the other end of the phone. I noticed his tone was little different that when he speaks to his friends. I was wondering who was at the other end of the phone? !!!

Well I finished the dinner and got up and asked my brother whats the issue? He was kind of laughing and saying it is some one from Mathrubhumi inquiring (He said his name is Danoj ; I doubt if that is a real name ) if there is something suspicious regarding the question paper of the exam he had last month. The Person who called had doubts about just one question paper and no doubts regarding the any other question papers. The subject was Mechanics of Structures (CE 403 A/B) . The Mathrubhumi person had doubts regarding if there is any corruption in setting of the question paper just because 2 questions in the University question paper was same as that in the model question paper!!!!! it is surely one of the silliest question i’ve ever heard. He further inquired why that question is in same order as in the model question paper. If I was replying for that I would asked him can you ask model 1 question instead of model 3 question? That can never happen.!! The Media journalists seem to lack lot of knowledge these days. Even a 5^th standard student might understand the silliness in what the Mathrubhumi reporter asked.

Just a tip for the ignorant media reporters

Just check any two question papers for any engineering syllabus and you will surely find that you get at least 2-4 questions the same. Having completed the Engineering just 2 years back I always advice my juniors and my friends who are doing engineering to just check last 4 years question paper and they can be sure of tackling 60% of the questions for their exam. Take any previous question paper of any engineering subject (i’vnt found mathematics as an exception) you wont find any more than 4-5 standard questions from a single module that can be put on for the exam.

And a media suspicion just because of 2 questions in just one question paper; well that is just 2/120 questions for a semester; that is less than 2% of all questions …Â I feel MEDIA is Trying to create a false sensational news .. Bad Work Mathrubhumi

Revolutionizing the web through 140 words. The concept was seen with eyebrows raised by everyone initially. but soon it became popular .. very popular.. i mean twitter

i registered in twitter on 07/07/08 but initially wasn’t very active on twitter.. in fact like any other lay man it took time for me to understand what is its essence. The Question “what are you doing ?” is i think the 2nd simplest question anyone can ask you. First one being “How are you?”

There are a few people who took the twitter question “what are you doing?” in a literal sense . @alenp being one of them.
I suggest a change in the twitter question just for those who can’t think beyond anything literal “what where How when why?” one word extra but more meaning or meaningless!!!! anyway i read it somewhere and it just came to my mind while thinking about twitter.

till a recent time back being online meant we are nto in real world. but now things are changing. online friends meeting up quite often and much important. the online friends knows each other very well and are mostly of the same mindset to accept each other (do you think otherwise they would have become friends?)

Orkut meets,Twitter meets etc happening very often and good participation every time..

last weekend i had the Orkut meet up of Kerala Friends Club community and also in the same evening i attended the cochin Twitter meet up aka Tweetup (#coktup, @sid88 coined it). more details of the #coktup available at twitterkerala.com

Lots of business for proper users and for spammers its almost loosing customers.. that is the online world (or rather twitter) today for you.

20 years are completed since world wide web is born. it was on March 13th , 1989,  Sir Tim Berners-Lee invented the web of internet.

The web interlinked people from across the globe. it created revolution in communication and entertainment, such that now everything is dependent on the web. some calls it world wild web!!, amazingly wild enough for common man to understand every aspects of it.

Wild and wide the web is now; no man predicted its growth to such a big extent 20 years back.  Still growing and new wonders coming out daily.  No wonder if i someone calls it wild wonder web .

Chandni Chowk and delhi 6..  Both the name are of same places… When 2 films comes out simultaneously featuring the same area it naturally makes everybody anxious to check out which one has done better.
i saw both the films on the second day of the release itself.

Chandni chowk to china had some good comedy, good songs and some good action scenes. But as a whole none of them matched with the rest. and as a film it was a failure. I personally marked it as the first big flop of the year.

The expectations was huge on Delhi 6. The Music by AR Rahman was so great. But the film again disappointed, especially the climax. No man with commonsense can accept such a climax. it was one of the worst climax i have ever seen. The kale bandar factor if used properly would have kept the people interested. It looked like the Director failed to express the story line in an interesting way.. Sonam Kapoor did her part very well. hats off to her .. the rest was just mediocre..

Abishek Bachan is thrashed by angry mob –> one man shot him with a pistol –> abishek bachan goes to heaven –> meet amitab bachan there.. they eat “jilebi” (in heaven) –> came back to earth to take his cellphone. ..–> couldnt get it.. –> goes back to heaven –> on earth now the ECG shows a straight line..
