മുല്ലപെരിയാര് ഡാം പണിതപ്പോള് ഡാമിന്റെ ആയുസ് നിശ്ചയിച്ചിരുന്നത് 50 വര്ഷത്തേക്കാണ്.. ഇപ്പോള് ഡാമിന്റെ പ്രായം 116 കഴിഞ്ഞു.. വിള്ളലുകളും ചോര്ച്ചയും ഒരു വാര്ത്തയല്ലാതെയായിട്ടു നാളുകളേറെയായി.. ചെറുതും വലുതുമായ ഭൂകമ്പങ്ങള് അതിജീവിച്ചു എപ്പോള് വേണമെങ്കിലും തകരാം എന്ന രീതിയില് കാലത്തിന്റെ ശവകുഴിയിലേക്ക് കാലുനീട്ടിയിരിക്കുന്ന ഈ ഡാം സുരക്ഷിതമാണെനു പറയുനത് വിവരവും വിദ്യാഭ്യാസവുമുള്ള ഒരു ജനതയുടെ സാമാന്യ ബുദ്ധിയ്ക്കു മനസിലാകുന്ന ഒരു ഭാഷയല്ല. കഴിഞ്ഞ ഒരു വര്ഷത്തിനുള്ളില് 26 ഭൂകമ്പങ്ങള് ആണ് മുല്ലപെരിയാറിനു സമീപ പ്രദേശങ്ങളില് ഉണ്ടായത്. മുല്ലപെരിയാര് അണക്കെട്ടിന്റെ [...]
