The Foundation Stone Laying Ceremony of InfoPark Kochi Phase II  at kunnathunadu & puthencuruz village of kunnathunadu taluk will be done by Hon. Chief Minister of Kerala Shri V.S. Achuthanandan on 28th nov 2009(saturday)  at 11.30 am.. The Functions will be held at Kochi infopark Campus at Kakkanad.

It sounds like a very good gesture from the part of kerala towards the Development of IT infrastructure in the state despite the backlash of the much hyped Smart City Kochi Project.  My prayers for the Project to be successful and a great milestone in Development of  the Country

It was really a shocker to hear the news of  Tax Fraud the Satyam chairman  and CEO, B Ramalinga Raju, admitted today.  The Impact of this is expected to very vast and may even be a retarding force in the growth of Indian IT Sector.  Considering the Financial crisis this was the worst time this Fraud could have come out.

The Government should take steps to ensure that No Fraud like this will ever take place even in Private sector. the Laws of the country needs to be tightened and executed efficiently to avoid such frauds again. Strong action should be taken against Raju so that it will be a lesson to rest of the country

As Raju himself said “It was like riding a tiger, not knowing how to get off without being eaten” Now he has got down of the tiger and is being eaten. How hard the bites can be thats the question.

Lets hope we will not have to hear such a Worse news in future.

The firefox is grouped along with the windows explorer windows.. I couldnt find out why this is happening.     The system admins at my office said they are seeing it for the first time.  i couldnt find an answer about it in google. if anyone knows why it is happening.. please share your knowledge

I downloaded the google chrome today morning.   My initial views of the Google Chrome are

Google Chrome UI looks really good. The google have made yet another great user interface. Its really different from its counterparts and gives a clean and simple look and feel ..

Its rendering is really good.  it is a real threat to IE

The tabs of Chrome is really looking good. unlike the downward tabs of firefox iot has a better looking upward tabs

The omnibox feature is looking great at the moment.  the auto completeion is really good and i guess \this will get improved in the days to come

The Home page that is the most useful feature  for most of the users (and for some people might be most annoying  feature).  the thumbnail give us an idea of the history in a better way than the existing methods of IE and Firefox. it shows the recent visits, recent searches recently closed tabs and bookmarks. thwe history section is completely redifend in chrome

The google Chrome can fetch a website from the google cache if the actual webpage is not working.

incognito mode is yet to be tested.

I had read the comic about google chrome last day . it was really good..

The way the google marketed the new product was simply unbelivable. in just 2 days it created much news than firefox 3 could do in a month.

My Net connection at home is BSNL Datone  home plan 500 Broadband . It is really good in terms of speed and value for money . It gives 2mpbs net connection for just 500 rs/month + a free internet access during 2am to 8am everyday.  But when it comes to the customer service  BSNL sux big time.
A small rain is enough to slow down the net connection due to the rain water going into the junction boxes in the telephone posts. i covered the box near my home with plastic to prevent it from rain . The BSNL service man who came for some work over there took it off and never bothered to cover again.
Another funny instance of internet being slowdown happened last year September. This time the culprits were ANTS. yes ANTS. Ants had made the telephone junction box their home. It took the BSNL people one month to identify the problem and clear off the culprits.  i had interrupted service whole through that time.

Last weekend it was another funny problem with BSNL. This time the Net connection wasnt available. This time there was no RAIN no ANTS but the real culprits were BSNL itself. They changed their server and all the settings including the net connection password was changed. They never tried to pass this information to the public. Even when i called them the were just telling they will check out why the problem is.  and later told me its because of the server change. Why couldnt they inform customers about the change in settings. If we ask this question to BSNL officials they will ask “Why should they?” . Their attitude is like if you want something go behind thenm to get it done or go for some other service provider. No wonder Why the Private companies are establishing themselves in the ISP market

Will BSNL ever get customer Friendly ??

iPhone prices are out…
Steve jobs boasted of $200(around 8000rs) price tag.. but in india we will have to pay around $800(around 31000Rs) to get hold of one iPhone through proper channels.
Its cheaper to get hold of a unlocked iphone from from US market.. it costs only around $550 only. some stores sells it at even lesser price. The price tag will defintly refrain a vast majority of those who have already booked iphone from going further for the purchase.

I’m eagerly waiting to get the statistics of how many will get a new iphone from india

If you are going to get one iphone for that high price let me tell you ou are sick.. yo can get a htc diamond or nokia n95 for a lower price tag. if you are looking for more at lower price wait till sony ericsson’s T700 is out in october.

Lucky that i changed my mind and went for a low cost mobile (nokia 3500c) instead of waiting for the iphone

Its 4 days since i bought my new nokia 3500c mobile.

My observations of nokia3500c .. incase you are planing to buy one this may help you.

• First of all its a real good handset to have.

• Its cute and handy.

• Sound clarity is pretty good.

• Photo quality is also good.

• The look and feel is great.

• Bluetooth is working fine .

• Headsets are great.

• Battery backup is also good.

• Play back is really good.

• Games are also cool. Yahoo go! and the opera mini browser is great.

• Net browsing speed is just Ok.

• The phone memory is just 8.5 Mb which makes the set a little bit slower.

• The steel Protection layer part around the mobile helps the screen from getting scratches when we keeps it on the table but it may turn out to be a little difficult to adjust with that protection part while speeking.

• messaging is cool. But i’ve yet figured out how to store the messages directly into the memory card.

• Video recording quality is just ok..

• I wasnt able to install Teashark browser into the mobile. dont know what the error is (if someone knows to solve this issue please do help me to install it.)

Overall rating i will give is 8/10

Its the 5th time in last 6 months that i’m buying a new mobile.  This time it is not to replace any mobile but to make my inactive vodafone sim live.   My 4 year old sim was in my purse since i sold my Nokia 1100 (both were bought together 4 years back).  The new Handset i bought is Nokia 3500 C

I should say its a Great Mobile phone.

Bugs come in many forms..  lets discuss some of it

Most of the bugs occur because the programmer (i wish to call him the bug maker ) gets distracted due to the lady sitting in next seat or may be because of the beautiful lady he saw that day morning (yeah ladies are the root cause).

Another set of bugs occur because the bug maker wants to show off in front of the above mentioned root causes

Yet another kind of bugs that are formed because there is no bug in food.  when there is no bug in food the bug maker enjoys his food to maximum and gets sleepy… this causes lots of bugs

The bug maker sometimes creates some bugs.  this is because he is saturated with bugs. and whatever comes out of him will be buggy

Some bugs  are Created purposefully. These bugs helps the programmer in different ways like making a DNA test to determine the father of the bugs  andd so on..  these bugs are always a headache to the user (i wish to call him the idiot who uses bugs)

there are certain bugs that are hidden by bug maker but due to foolish intervention by the user these bugs gets revealed. this leads to many problems. these problems can include the bug maker being fired of his  bug making.

Another big part of bug makers are known as designers. they actually design how a bug should be. Their bug is the dirtiest bug to tackle with. because they themselves dont know why the bug is created.

well about me.. i’m too good in bug making.   i creates around 3-4 bugs a day.. but i swear i never kill any bug.. i lkeep them hidden from others..  i challenge you to find the bugs i’ve created

Which OS does this computer has????  Its always a big question that you face while you purchase a computer.

Most of the companies have made tie up with the Microsoft and is bringing out their product with windows preinstalled..  but a good configured system with windows installed is little bit beyond the reach of a common man..  here my question is Do you really need Windows.??? Most of you say yes i want windows because thats the only thing i know.  just pause  and think have you ever tried to check what Linux is all about or if something like Mac is there in market..  I’m sure most of those using pirated windows on their computer know there is something by the name linux but has never tried to check what it is because 10 years back someone checked it and said it is a geeks thing..  my simple advice try checking out a computer with ubuntu live cd..  its simply great  if you need all the features  like multimedia in it try fedora..   just see how gr8 it is and ofcourse  the key word.. it is free…  yo can get a copy of it from anyone who has it already. Free dosent mean it is sub-standard. Free means it gets improved every second. this is something unlike from windows. they make you pay and give you the bad experience.  So why not go for more amazing, feature filled linux instead of Windows..  and yeah say good bye to virus along with windows.

Buying new computer? go thorugh these tips.

Let me ask you one simple question? whats your main purpose of buying a computer.. i’ve seen a lot of people who forget this when they buy computers. Everyone has some reason for buying a computer. either business or software development or timepass whatever it may be try finding the computer that can help you mostly what happenes is the sales executive praises a particular computer because he gets more benefits buy selling that particular one and most of the customers falls in his words.. let it not happen to you

Budget…!!! yeah it is the most crucial part of it. if you are in tight budget make sure you get the best suiting your budget. there are good computers available in all budgets wheter it be small, medium or high !!! never go for too high cost for absoultly useless (i mean if it is of no use to you) accessories for your Computer. accessories really kills your money.

Brand.. My simple advice is always to go for the best brand.. now you may ask me which is the best brand. answer is simple.. the one you feel best is the best!! for me i’ve felt same performance for all the brands of same price range and specifications. the most important thing to note here is which brand has the best service available and what are the terms and conditions in the service agreement. also check whose service cneter is more comfortable for you to reach to.. in case the brands dosent offer on-site service check the locations of the service centers also

Search… yeah search for the best.. there is no other substitute for search.. asking your friends is the best option.. never ask someone just because he is good in making powerpoint presentations find someone who has good knowledge of computer hardware.. and ofcourse google it

Dont fall in ads. yeah when there is a price cut or free accessories, understand something is wrong because no one is ready to suffer loss….!!!

when you are planning for a laptop because you need to travel make sure it is carriable.. weight does matter..!!! if the laptop is to replace your desktop then go for the biggest screen size possible. and in any case always go for the ones with monitor and keypad that you feel is the best

I just thought about what to write about.

i’ll write about orkut..  infact my experiences with orkut

i joined in orkut sometime in early 2006 i dont remember the exact date but i remember it was in february.  i staqrted orkuting just out of curiosity but now its has become part of my life..  i found my old pals  through orkut.  i think the older generations has benefited more from this cute tool as most of them found their very long missing pals through orkut.

For me its everything… i decided to leave orkut many time but i wasnt late to understand i cant leave it.

my 600+ friends out there.. i know each of them in person.  The life without orkut would have been totally different.

The good and the bad ..   yes orkut has both sides of which i would like to concentrate on the good side.  yes i’m an addict of orkut (i think i will put this on the bad side of orkut) it makes everyone an addict of itself.
